Grandparents raising grandchildren

Has anyone noticed that todays 20 and 30 and 40 somethings are giving up dealing with the brats they have created? No respect, no regard for an education, not sure what church is, has never had a sit down home cooked meal and God forbid done dishes by hand? They children, mine is 14, are throw aways discarded because they do not fit into the dream life created by step families, gotta make way for the next family, so where are those children headed when the next father comes along? I am not asking that the government fix this dilemma I am asking Society to wake up and smell the dung we are creating.

The father never married the mother, they were only together for a month of lust. The girl gave birth to her second child and this father took financial responsibility and paid child support every month plus covered dental and medical health. The mother never took the daughter to a dentist, nor for a check up unless she needed a bone set. In the meantime she met victim number three, got pregnant married had another daughter, got divorced, met almost victim number 4, but he  escaped in time. She had father number three take her to get an abortion. Then she got busy back to her normal life of dropping the girls at her mom’s while she was getting support for both and who knows what from the county DSS.  She was back in full party mode when victim number four fell into the web, he was engaged to someone else, but did the right thing and broke up with her to marry the now pregnant mother of two girls. (the first baby boy did not know this gal was his mom because he was raised by his grandma until age of 18 when they thought he should know this lady was his mom not sister.) The girls were 5 or 6 and 1 or 2.  Lets get back to victim number #4, he fathered two sons. After the first son was born the honeymoon had been over for some time, the 2nd daughter moved in with biological father, so daughter number 1 was still there to play with mom, protect her, ,make sure she had what she needed, be dropped off with grandma if any need arises to do so. She was there to clean, babysit,be friend to mom, since by this time in mom’s life she had lost all her friends due to lies and deceit, immaturity, and just plain boring life trying to live in a make-believe world. But her husband was an educated man that made good money so she felt she had made it to the big time. In the real world things had fallen apart before they had a chance, but a second son was supposed to fix that train wreck in her mind. It pushed it over the edge I believe. Now the economy came into play, he lost his job for over a year in half, she had to get a job, the first daughter had to take care of the babies and run the household, he spent his time on the computer,then went back to college, than back to his room for computer time. Then she got laid off, tension was 24/7 yelling, name calling was the norm, the now 3 year old boy could not yet talk, only screamed, and the 18 month old doesn’t have a chance. Punishment is quick and harsh, the father blew, ended up being take to jail for abuse. Of course she could not let that happen, the house was nearing foreclosure, bills were coming in, only getting child support for one child, and she had already tried welfare fraud only to be caught. So the hubby returned home and things were suppose to magically turn to peace and quite, well we know how that goes. The first daughter now was openly running away, she had one more chance before she ended up on  Juvy hell road. So stepdaughter called  step-grandma and wanted to know if she could make things better. We had the grandchild here with in a week. Now I am finding out just how lucky we are to save this young girl while she still has the fight left in her to leave the mess behind and with the help of the church and belief in God our Saviour we will make her life better so she can reach her potential. This is not an easy road, but I refuse to let her return to the hell she came from, because every one deserves a chance. If the law makers would quit fighting over who should rule the house or senate they would be working to make it easier for grandparents, family members , people who have the best interest of the CHILD in mind to get custody so that bad parents can only visit the child they threw away and never again subject that child to a losing existence.

 OH MY, A YOUNG VET RETURNS HOME FROM WAR…HE IS MENTALLY RUINED, HURT, DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR BECAUSE OF WHAT HE SAW AND HAD TO DO. CRAWLING IN A TUNNEL WITH SNAKES, SPIDERS, ENEMY NOT MY IDEA OF WAR, BUT THAT IS THE WAY IT WAS. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THESE KIDS ENDURE OR HOW IT CAN AFFECT THEM. AT LEAST THE OUTSIDE DAMAGE CAN BE TAKEN CARE OF THE INSIDE DAMAGE LIVES ON FOR EVER. THE FAMILY OF THIS NOW DAMAGED SOLDIER STICKS BY HIM, DOES ALL THEY CAN FOR HIM, HELPS HIM FIGHT THE VA FOR CARE BECAUSE HE DOES NOT HAVE THE TRUST OR FIGHT IN HIM TO DO IT FOR HIMSELF.MOST AMERICANS DO NOT HAVE A CLUE HOW EVERY VET THAT IS GETTING CARE AT A VA FACILITY HAS HAD TO FIGHT FOR EVERY LITTLE BIT THEY GET. GEE, SO THEY ARE NOT YOUR NORMAL HOSPITAL PATIENT THEIR NEEDS ARE NOT ONLY PHYSICAL BUT HAS SO MUCH TO DO WITH NOT TRUSTING THE PEOPLE GIVING THE CARE. THE WIFEOR HUSBAND  OF A MENTALLY WOUNDED VET SPEND MUCH TIME TRYING TO KEEP THIER HEADS ABOVE THE DEPRESSION AND NEGATIVEITY. THANK GOD FOR PROGRAMS SUCH AS TRI CARE AND CHAMPVA TO HELP TAKE CARE OF THE SPOUSES HEALTH NEEDS. MOST OF THESE SPOUSES WEATHER THE VET IS MENTAL, OR PHYSICALLY 100% DISABLED ARE UNABLE TO WORK OUTSIDE THE HOME FOR A VAST NUMBER OF RESONS. LET US NOT FORGET THE WORK THEY PUT IN HELPING THE VET COPE WITH EVERYDAY LIFE, JUST GETTING OUT OF BED FOR SOME IS A REAL CHALLENGE, BUT THE SPOUSE IS THERE 24-7 TO HELP. I DON’T WANT TO HEAR HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO CARE FOR VETRANS AND THIER SPOUSES. THEY DESERVE EVERY BIT THEY GET AND WE AS PROUD AMERICANS SHOULD SHAME OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS INTO THINKING OF THESE PEOPLE WHEN THEY GIVE FORIEGN AIDE, GIVE THEMSELVES RAISES..ARE THEY WILLING TO REALLY SERVE OUR COUNTRY..I THINK NOT CON GRESS AND HOR’S SHOULD GET 10 LASHES WITH A WET NOODLE EVERYTIME THEY VOTE AGAISNT THE VETRANS!!!!!!!!!!!! awcdkm@hotmail.com
